Name the activity
Use a habit name such as “language practice” or “guitar practice”, then decide what you want a completed entry to represent. The app’s published examples include language learning, instruments and study. Keep the habit connected to an activity you can actually carry out, rather than a result that depends on many different steps.
Keep different routines distinct
Reading, homework and instrument practice may happen at different times. Give them separate entries if that makes the record clearer. Choose reminders to match real opportunities in your day. Avoid counting the same session twice under two names unless each entry represents a different action you intended to track.
Use the record to plan
Review what you repeated and what did not fit. You might choose a different reminder time or simplify an entry so it is easier to maintain. Habitbybit helps you organise the record, but it does not measure learning quality or replace feedback from a teacher. Use the tracker alongside the materials and guidance you already follow.
